Car driving

I am a fan of quiet, peaceful driving. I mean: speed limit, in perfect conditions, 120km/h and economical driving mostly with a lot of respect for the environment than for security reasons. This does not necessarily mean that I am always the last to reach my destination. There are times that one has to break one’s rules, but in no case do I break the speed limit without a specific purpose, nor do I make an attempt to find new limitations.

My first training drives were in Piraeus, and afterwards on Salamis fascinating ‘special runs’, in our victorious Fiat. |

Here I have mostly driven all over Geneva and South Switzerland in the company cars. It is a pleasure in reality! The roads are perfect: the outlines are distinct, the limits inevitably put, the radars have done their best!

I usually drive a heavy, but perfect in its performance car, though it has got a 16valve, 1800cc. engine. Generally speaking, I think, it is a very good car that has changed my opinion about Japanese cars. Its best advantage is the 4weel drive transmission that radically converts its ‘road performance’ and makes driving in snow-covered roads safer. The second car that I drive less is a 2liter VW Golf III variant. One could expect much more from a car with the golf fame… Without a doubt one cannot compare these two cars, but each one in its own way is equally graded.

My latest zeal in cars is the Audi TT, because it is a four wheel drive, it has got a very good turbo engine, it is low and it does not stick on the worst roadway; it is heavy, that is, in my view, what a car needs to be considered as a good car!
