My name is Apostolos-Athanassios Touloumtzoglou, Tolly, and I was born in Athens on 18^th January 1977. My father inspired me with enthusiasm for the ‘Air Force’, and my Mother motivated me to love European Languages, as on her laps I signed my first ‘autographs’ on her precious dictionaries.

I finished the Multi-branch Lyceum of Piraeus in summer 1994 after which I arrived in Geneva to have a general idea of the University studies, a close search of the educational system and the preparation I should have for the notable ‘Fribourg Exams’ which I passed in winter 1995.

Now I find myself one step higher: I graduated and post-graduated in ‘Quantitative Economy’ and ‘Economy and Finance’, respectively. For the first degree, I have chosen the main branch of Econometrics, the connection between the Economic Theory and reality. In other words, the attempt to analyze the mutual influence within a given Economic System, and to measure quantitatively this mutual influence. It is a very interesting endeavor and the use of a computer is quite necessary. The Masters degree is more concentrated on financial issues, such as portfolio optimization, corporate finance and event studies.
